I'm Bobby Morgan, principal of Memorial Middle School in Willingboro, New Jersey, and the founder of NextPhase Schools.

I started NextPhase because I kept seeing the same thing. Good schools stuck in survival mode. Leaders buried in referrals and crisis. Teachers burning out. And too often, the response was to blame the kids.
​
I don't believe the kids are the problem. I believe the system around them is, and the system is what most people never fix. That's the work I do.
I help schools move from reactive to restorative. From burnout to leadership with a purpose. I work with principals, teachers, and district leaders on the real parts of school change: culture, teaching, discipline, and the daily decisions that shape whether a building works.

I bring practical tools, honest reflection, and energy that lasts past the last slide. No jargon. No overwhelm. Just clear moves your team can make on Monday.

I work closely with urban and culturally diverse communities, because that's where I've spent my career and that's where this work matters most.
When adults build the right structures, students rise to meet them. Culture isn't a slogan you put on a wall. It's a system you build and run on purpose. That belief runs through everything I do, in my building and in yours.
Fix The System, Not The Student.
I've spent over fifteen years in education. Teacher, dean of students, assistant principal, and now principal. I've served on a school board, sat on district committees, and led school improvement work from the inside.

I'm a doctoral student at Bowie State University, where my research focuses on restorative practices and neurodivergent learners. I serve as Regional Director, South, for NJ Elevate and as Co-Chair of the Administration Committee for the New Jersey Alliance of Black School Educators.
You don't have to lead the change alone. I stay in the work with you, from the first hard conversation to the systems that make it stick.
